Rancho Cañada del Oro Open Space Preserve

It has been a while but I finally went out and properly explored a new place. In this case I chose to go to Rancho Cañada del Oro Open Space Preserve. I walked through the Mayfair Ranch Trail, which is currently set to be a one way only path. My guess this is because the trail is narrow and people going in both directions will trample more of the ecosystem. In total I spent about 2 hours walking this trail. I forgot how nice it was just to walk through nature with the sounds and smells. I have enjoyed some of the other Open Space Preserves more but I think this one is worth a couple more tries, there are some more paths that may offer better views.

Little Creek

Towards the bottom of the trail is some nice babbling creeks. This is a little feeder into the main creek. The trail crosses the creek twice, and I touched the water both times. Very chilly, very refreshing!
